UPDATES ON TREES IN POND AT SHANTOK AND ONE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS SIDEWALK AND ROADWAYS

ON THE ONE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLAR SIDEWALK AND ROADWAYS, I RECEIVED SOME E-MAILS STATING " HOW DO YOU PUT A VALUE ON A HUMAN LIFE?" OF COURSE YOU CAN NOT PUT A PRICE TAG ON A HUMAN LIFE. THAT IS NOT WHAT THE STORY IS ABOUT. I STATED THE CASINO HAS DONE THINGS TO PROTECT ITS' WORKERS AROUND ROUTE 32. THAT IS A VERY GOOD THING. THE STORY IS ABOUT WHO HAS JURISDICTION AND WHETHER THE MOHEGAN SUN CASINO AND FOXWOODS RESORTS CASINO SHOULD BE PAYING FOR ROAD WORK, THAT IS TECHNICALLY THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT AND LOCAL TOWNS REPONSIBILITY.

ON THE SUBJECT OF THE TREES IN SHANTOK, I WAS TALKING TO A PUBLIC WORKS WORKER AND HE STATED THAT THE TREES IN THE WATER WERE GOOD BECAUSE THE FISH IN THE POND LIVE UNDER THEM. HE ALSO STATED THAT HE AND OTHER TRIBAL MEMBERS HAD PUT LARGE BASS IN THE POND. HE SAID THAT TO GET THE TREES OUT, THE PUBLIC WORKS WORKERS WOULD HAVE TO TAKE FIVE TREES OUT TO GET ONE TREE OUT. I STILL THINK THE TREES ARE AN EYESORE AND IF PUBLIC WORKS CAN NOT DO IT OR DO NOT WANT TO DO IT, THAT THE TRIBAL COUNCIL SHOULD HIRE SOMEONE WHO CAN.

THANK YOU READERS FOR YOUR COMMENTS. YOUR COMMENTS SHOW THAT BROKENWING EDITORIALS IS ACTUALLY DOING WHAT IT IS INTENDED TO DO. IT IS GETTING TRIBAL PEOPLE TO TALK AND THINK ABOUT WHAT IS GOING ON IN UNCASVILLE, CONNECTICUT.
