ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2008 AT 10:00 A.M. THE NEWLY ELECTED MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL OF ELDERS WILL BE SWORN IN. THE CEREMONY WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE MOHEGAN CHURCH, CHURCH LANE, UNCASVILLE, CONNECTICUT.
THE FOUR MEMBERS WILL BE STEPHANIE FIELDING, WILLIAM ANDREWS, SHARON MAYNARD, AND LAURENCE ROBERGE.
DOING THE SWEARING IN, (THAT UNTIL HIS DEATH WAS ALWAYS DONE BY CHIEF STURGIS,) WILL BE JOHN HENRY CLARK, THE CURRENT CHAIRMAN OF THE COUNCIL OF ELDERS. .
WITH THE CEREMONY, WE BID GOOD BYE, TO THREE OF THE PRESENT COUNCIL OF ELDERS: 1) JOHN HENRY CLARK, 2) JOSEPH GRAY AND 3) AUSTIN FISH. ON BEHALF OF BROKENWING EDITORIALS, THANK YOU FOR YOUR OUTSTANDING SERVICE. WE WISH YOU WELL IN YOUR RETIREMENT. EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE RETIRING, WE HOPE THEY WILL CONTINUE TO PARTICIPATE, BY IMPARTING THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE TO THE MOHEGAN TRIBE.
