MONTVILLE VOTERS SAY "BOND US"

MONTVILLE, CONNECTICUT, TUESDAY OCTOBER 7, 2008

THE VOTERS OF MONTVILLE OVERWHELMING VOTED TO PUT OUT BONDS TO SATISFY THE JUDGMENT THE TOWN OWES RAND-WHITNEY

THE VOTE WAS IN FAVOR OF THE REQUEST TO ISSUE BONDS, FOR THE BONDS 988 TO 246 AGAINST. THIS IS ABOUT 13% OF THE ELIGIBLE VOTERS IN MONTVILLE TOWNSHIP.

MONTVILLE TOWN MAYOR JOSEPH JASKIEWICZ SAID, "I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW PLEASE I AM."

THE MAYOR, THE TOWNS' LAWYERS AND FINANCIAL ADVISERS WILL MEET TODAY TO BEGIN THE BONDING PROCESS. THE COST OF THE BONDS IS ESTIMATED AT ABOUT TWELVE MILLION DOLLARS ($12,000,000.00.)

MOHEGAN TRIBAL MEMBERS, WE SHOULD CONTINUE TO MONITOR THIS SITUATION. LIKE I HAVE SAID BEFORE WHAT HAPPENS AROUND THE RESERVATION HAS A DIRECT CONNECTION ON WHAT IS HAPPENING TO US.
